  • Over-all form is wide, thin blade tapering to prominent points at both ends
  • Small, triangular base defined by side notches
  • Base quite small in proportion to overall point size
  • Often made from high quality gray Wyandotte chert from southern Indiana
  • Sometimes found in caches, or deposits, of up to 200 specimens, most of which have been intentionally broken
  • Size: 3½ to 6 inches long
  • Late Archaic,Early Woodland: ca. 1500-500 BC
