  • Relatively wide, thin blades
  • Rounded base
  • Greatest width at or very near the base
  • Often well made from high quality flint from Flint Ridge in Licking and Muskingum counties
  • Sometimes found in caches, or deposits, that can include up to 200 or more specimens
  • Size: 2½ to 4 inches long, although specimens up to 9 inches long are known
  • Late Adena: ca. 300 BC - AD 1
