  • Blade edges generally straight, although some may be concave or convex; typically serrated
  • Blades frequently resharpened, sometimes in the extreme on "exhausted" points (resharpened/used to the point of being non-functional)
  • Stem straight to slightly flared; frequently nearly as wide as the blade
  • Stem deeply bifurcated
  • Grinding of stem edges absent
  • Size: ¾ to 1½ inches long
  • Early Archaic: ca. 6500-5800 BC
